In November 2019, while immersed in the beauty of a world-class river cruise through Austria, Germany, Slovakia, and Hungary, that question arrived unexpectedly. In the midst of this remarkable journey, I was met with profound loss—the tragic passing of my younger brother. Yet, in my profound sorrow, he left me with a gift: the urgency to live with intention.
Honest self-reflection is rarely easy, but in this season of grief, I gained an unshakable clarity—an appreciation for the vastness and richness of our world and a renewed conviction that travel is among the most powerful ways to experience it. Travel is an invitation to witness extraordinary people and traditions, to stand in awe of nature’s quiet beauty and untamed force, to engage with history, art, and music that uplift the spirit, and to indulge in the flavors and perspectives that shape cultures.
Guided by this revelation, I followed my heart to the next chapter of my journey.
With nearly unbelievable timing, I acquired my travel business in February 2020, just one month before the world changed. Despite the challenges that followed, my commitment never wavered.
